Resident of Asa dam, ilorin, Kwara state lamented over continuous low voltage of power supplied to the area.
It is reported that the uneven connection of wires to the transformer in some areas of the community is the cause of low voltage.
Apart from that, the rate of demand increases and has a great impact on the voltage, making it distribute low current.
In an interview with a frozen food seller, Mrs Shakira Yusuf, she made it known that due to the low voltage some of her frozen fish and chicken got spoilt and made her sales very low. She added that in most cases, she had to dispose some of her goods.
However, the residents said the low voltage had brought setback to the social and economic activities in the community, pleading with the government to look into the issue and help the community in sanctioning uneven connection.
