The National Association of Mass Communication Students (NAMCOS) has disassociate the Union from a planned protest reported to come up on Monday, 18th October 2022.
In a Press Statement by the Union Public Relation Officer, Comrade Mustapha Bello, jointly signed by the President, Sen, Adeyeye Adejare, the General Secretary, Sen. AbdulRahman Hassan and the Speaker Hon. Shukurat Ibrahim respectively and copies made available to PRIME NEWS
It was contained in the statement that the Union neither have plan to hold protest, join any protest or to shut the school gate as stated on the fliers, adding it will not engage is such rather resolve on physical talks with the management.
The inscription on the flier includes; #ShutDownKwaraPoly, #MassProtest18thOctober, #StayNoToExtortionFromSchoolManagent, #NoResumptionuntilSchoolManagentListensToOurDemands.
The Union in the statement stated the students of the department are law abiding and will do nothing to disrupt the peace of the Polytechnic.
They however urged the audience to debunked any rumor that the department will join any mass protes, and should always awaits the Departments official report from their PRO before believing such report.
