Oyun residents vow not to pay this month's electricity bill due to the poor electricity supply by the IBEDC.
In an interview with one of the residents, Mr. Hassan Aiyelagbe said the IBEDC cannot reap where they did not sow, he added that they decided not to pay them because they only give light towards month end.
Mr. Hassan further said even if everyone changes their mind and pays, he won't pay a dime, if it comes to worse they should disconnect his wire from the pole.
A student of kwara state polytechnic, Ahmad Abubakry also said that if he had not included an electricity bill when he paid the house rent he would not pay them for the month.
The resident however pleads for the government intervention for the IBEDC to supply them with adequate electricity for them to also comply with the bills.

ReplyDeleteWhy pay for light you didn’t make use of? 🤷🏾♂️
ReplyDeleteHow come sango don dey get light like mad...and na same light we dey use before... We have to do something ooo
ReplyDeleteThe issue of light should be strictly addressed honestly, why pay for light we didn’t use? It’s uncalled for😪
ReplyDeletePower supply has always been one of the major challenges we face in Nigeria, aside from the community not in any way benefitting 100% electricity Nigeria as a country has lost so many investment from foreigners, exact another
ReplyDeletereason why the government should aggressively address the area of power supply so that the citizen can have no reason not to pay their monthly electricity bills, aside from that let the Vawulence of not paying kwontinue ✊🏿
It’s very cruel! Why are we going to be paying for the light we are not using. Sometimes two weeks there won’t be light and if they even on the light it won’t still use up to an hour they will still take off the light. That’s absolutely nonsense. We are not paying a dime if they are not giving us what we want.
ReplyDeleteWe are tired of this mess and we can’t take it anymore. We not paying shishi.
