Residents of Sango rejoices over restoration of power supply

Residents of Sango area in Ilorin East Local Government Area of Kwara, has commend the effort of the government and other stakeholder for the resortation of power supply to the area.

It was gathered that the area for some year now have been known for poor and unstable electricity supply which have causes evacuation of some of the residents and business owners in the area.

During an interview one Mr Taiwo Alabi who runs a computer center business in the area, stated that, they are very happy about what the government has done by helping them improve power supply in the area as it has helped business to go on smoothly and reduce the cost used on powering generators.

The people hereby call on the government to do more and make sure to put the citizen first in whatever they do so as to create a sustainable environment for everyone in the society to live a better life.

KwaraPoly Students expresses grievance over Landlord acts

By:Jimoh Ridwan Oluwadamilare Some students of Kwara state polytechnic who live in Oke-Ose axis on Friday showed their grievances over their Landlord act. It was reported that the landlord of Mosadioluwa Villa at Dangiwa Oke-Ose did an ungrateful act to his students-tenants by bringing in another letting agent and demanding for another rent payment. During an interview with a marketing student of Kwara State Polytechnic Yahaya Alimat said their landlord brought in another letting agent into the house and demanded for another payment whereas the rent payment made to the former letting agent is not due yet. She furthered that the new letting agent demanded for a new payment in the presence of the landlord in which the landlord told them they will all be sent out of the house failure to meet up with the new letting agent demand, adding that they have been put under pressure to pay the rent. By: LUKMAN ROKEEB OLAIDE The Students of Kwara State Polytechnic has commend the effort of the rector, Dr Abdul Jimoh Muhammad over there aiming for prosperity and implore them not to relent on there administration. The Students also commends their efforts on new development in the campus such as the solar street light, the diagnostic center amongst others. According to one of the students, Saliu Ibrahim from quantity survey opines that the management should have the monitoring teams in which will helps to curb the abuse of the school properties. In the same vein, another student, Aliyu Muhammad from Urban and Regional Planning said the rector has really done a lot and even they are trying there best towards renewing the school.
