World Teacher’s Day: NUT commends Kwara Governor

The Nigeria Union of Teachers Kwara State Wing has commended the State Government for its massive support towards the successful hosting of this year's World Teachers Day celebration in the state.


The Union in a letter jointly signed  by the State Chairman, Comrade Oyewo Bashir Ayinde and Secretary, Comrade Moni Mike Modesty addressed to the  Governor and copies made available to newsmen in Ilorin.


It states that the physical presence of the Governor at the celebration and the First ever Awards to Teachers in the State, added unprecedented ambience to the celebration and will forever be remembered within the state and beyond.

The Union thereafter prayed to God Almighty to continue to guard and guide him in his actions as he continues to pilot the affairs of the State of Harmony.


Meanwhile, the NUT  has swiftly debunked a false report circulating on social media space that the leadership of the NUT in the State presented a certificate of merit to Engineer Dare Bankole of the PDP or any other  politician, at the end of the just concluded NUT teachers game.


The statement said there was never a time the leadership of the union embarked on such visits or did such honour on him and has asked teachers, Kwara State Government and the general public to discountenance such Fake news and attempts to gain underserved recognition through desperate impostors.

KwaraPoly: Students commends management for new development

​ By: LUKMAN ROKEEB OLAIDE The Students of Kwara State Polytechnic has commend the effort of the rector, Dr Abdul Jimoh Muhammad over there aiming for prosperity and implore them not to relent on there administration. The Students also commends their efforts on new development in the campus such as the solar street light, the diagnostic center amongst others.  According to one of the students, Saliu Ibrahim from quantity survey opines that the management should have the monitoring teams in which will helps to curb the abuse of the school properties.  In the same vein, another student, Aliyu Muhammad from Urban and Regional Planning said the rector has really done a lot and even they are trying there best towards renewing the school. The students therefore urge the rector and school management to extend the solar street light to Yankari and other places in the institution.
