Kwara state polytechnic medical center has promised the entire students of the department that they will enjoy free medical treatment.
This was gathered in an interview with Doctor Mrs Rukayat Uthman, the Coordinator, medical service, Kwara state polytechnic medical centre. She said students should register for medical treatment as the school authority has made enough provision for free treatment under National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).
She added that all this could be done when students provide their evidence of identification as students either with their Students ID card or payment slip to the record unit of the medical centre to acquire the medical card.
Dr Uthman furthered that students should not abuse drugs by taking unprescribed drugs, or taking drugs without following doctor's prescription.
She also added that the Diagnosis centre is equipped with new machines and equipments, and will be available for usage.
She therefore advise students that, the staff of medical centre do not find it stressful in attending to the students, stating that they don't discriminate, either you are a student, male, female or staffs of the institution, everyone will be attended to you equally.
