Kwara State Polytechnic; Foremost in technology, innovation and entrepreneurship

Kwara State Polytechnic is not only premier in advance technology, also blessed with great innovations which has improve the standard of the Polytechnic to what is in the past. 


The present administration led by the able and amiable rector, Engr. (Dr.) Abdul Jimoh Muhammed, has put in place great ideas that will gear up students academics and also add to the standards of the Polytechnic and makes it differs amongst her peers. 


Amongst innovations that can nourish students academics is the renovations of the Institute Of Technology (IOT) abandoned by the past administration. The workshop is renovated to help the student develop basic concepts about technologies and how they works. 


It also includes Polytechnic Ruminant Animal Farm. This is another great project commissioned under the administration of our project Rector Dr. Abdul Jimoh Mohammed. Ruminant Animal Production offers the knowledge on the management of breeding animals i.e. those selected for mating and production of offspring. 


Other projects included The newly commissioned Diagnostic Centre for  staff, Students and hosting communities. The building which was converted was abandoned for years. The Diagnostic center will help to provide standard health care. 


Also the Kwara Polytechnic Micro Finance Bank which will enable students and staff to get loan to meet their pressing needs. 


Having a good soil is not all that matters, great seeds will brings out the desired result.

KwaraPoly Students expresses grievance over Landlord acts

​ By:Jimoh Ridwan Oluwadamilare  Some students of Kwara state polytechnic who live in Oke-Ose axis on Friday showed their grievances over their Landlord act. It was reported that the landlord of Mosadioluwa Villa at Dangiwa Oke-Ose did an ungrateful act to his students-tenants by bringing in another letting agent and demanding for another rent payment.  During an interview with a marketing student of Kwara State Polytechnic Yahaya Alimat said their landlord brought in another letting agent into the house and demanded for another payment whereas the rent payment made to the former letting agent is not due yet. She furthered that the new letting agent demanded for a new payment in the presence of the landlord in which the landlord told them they will all be sent out of the house failure to meet up with the new letting agent demand, adding that they have been put under pressure to pay the rent. KwaraPoly: Students commends management for new development

​ By: LUKMAN ROKEEB OLAIDE The Students of Kwara State Polytechnic has commend the effort of the rector, Dr Abdul Jimoh Muhammad over there aiming for prosperity and implore them not to relent on there administration. The Students also commends their efforts on new development in the campus such as the solar street light, the diagnostic center amongst others.  According to one of the students, Saliu Ibrahim from quantity survey opines that the management should have the monitoring teams in which will helps to curb the abuse of the school properties.  In the same vein, another student, Aliyu Muhammad from Urban and Regional Planning said the rector has really done a lot and even they are trying there best towards renewing the school. The students therefore urge the rector and school management to extend the solar street light to Yankari and other places in the institution.
