Kwarapoly: SUG Lauds Rector's Commitment to Students Cause


The Students Union Government Executives, Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, has lauded the commitment of the Rector, Engr. Abdul Jimoh Muhammed for going extra mile to ensure that students welfare is well catered for.


The President of the Students body, Ishola Abdulsalam gave the commendation while speaking during a meeting with the Management of the Polytechnic and the representatives of the students.

The meeting which was at the instance of the Management has the presence of Special Adviser to His Excellency, Mr. Sulaiman Abubakar, to address the issue of alleged extortion of students.



He described the Rector as a listening father that is always willing to to go extral miles for the wellbeing of students even at his discomfort.


Speaking earlier, the Rector explained that increase in some fees such as carry over fee and loss of receipt is to instill seriousness to academic pursuit and sense of record keeping in students.

He advised them to always be focused on their primary assignment in the institution, avoid unnecessary protests on issues that can be amicably resolved.


Abdul also appealed to them not to be  used as political thugs, and to be good ambassadors of the Polytechnic.


At the end of the meeting, the two parties agreed on reduction in the following fees, processing of Regularisation Forms, Transcript, Convocation Brochure, Loss of Receipt, Medical Screening, Log Book and Carry Over

KwaraPoly: Students commends management for new development

​ By: LUKMAN ROKEEB OLAIDE The Students of Kwara State Polytechnic has commend the effort of the rector, Dr Abdul Jimoh Muhammad over there aiming for prosperity and implore them not to relent on there administration. The Students also commends their efforts on new development in the campus such as the solar street light, the diagnostic center amongst others.  According to one of the students, Saliu Ibrahim from quantity survey opines that the management should have the monitoring teams in which will helps to curb the abuse of the school properties.  In the same vein, another student, Aliyu Muhammad from Urban and Regional Planning said the rector has really done a lot and even they are trying there best towards renewing the school. KwaraPoly: Rector commissions NAPAS lecture room renovated by 1996 Alumni set

​               PC: CeeJay Photos The Kwara State Polytechnic Rector, Engr. Jimoh Abdul Muhammed on Thursday commissioned the Department of Accountancy lecture room renovated by the Kwarapoly Accountancy Students Alumni Association (KASAA), 1996 set.  The Rector in his address, commended National Association of Polytechnic Accountancy Students (NAPAS) 1996 alumni set for taking the leadership to renovate the lecture room for the students, saying it is the first alumni project since his inception in office.  Engr.
