KwaraPoly ODFEL holds meeting with stakeholders, sensitizes them

Kwara State Polytechnic Open Distance Flexible E-Leaning (ODFEL) committee today held an orientation meeting with some stakeholders in the institution to inform them about the newly accredited program by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and their impact in recording success in the program

The orientation meeting which was held at the Admiral Muhammed Lawal Conference Hall, Kwara State Polytechnic, had in attendance the Cafe operators in the institution. 



The Rector, ENGR. Jimoh Abdul, who was  represented by the Deputy Rector administration, Mr. Issac Adedoyin urged the businesses owners to join hand with the school management in making sure that ODFEL becomes success. 


Also speaking at the event, the Registrar, Mr. Sheye Kolawole Akande advised the business operators in the school premises to let integrity be their watchword. 


In his own remarks, the Director of ODFEL, Dr. Agboola O.M sensitized the business owner who he described as agents of ODFEL about the newly accredited program, adding that NBTE has accredited it for only for the National Diploma level. 



He said that the program is available in five courses which includes; Mass Communication, Accountancy, Business Administration and Management, Computer Science and Public Administration, adding that there will be extension on the courses sooner or later.

Speaking on the flexibility of the program, the director said students will have everything that needs to be done in his or her portal, an it is only during exam they will come down to the school premises for physical engagements. 


The Director also enjoined them to help disseminate information about the program to students and the yet-to-be, adding that admission is in progress. 


In his goodwill message, the Deputy Director, Mr. Fatiu Olohungbebe appreciated the stakeholders for honoring their invitation, Implored them to do everything in their capacity to help get the news of ODFEL to the hears of those that are not aware of the program yet.
