Shagaya holds Special Prayer, Commissions Campaign Office

In a bid to kick off the 2023 general election, the All Progressives Congress Candidate for Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency, Mallam Muktar Tolani Shagaya has organized a special prayer for All candidates in the party ahead of the general election to record all round success, today.

Shagaya said he believed in putting the affairs in the hands of Almighty Allah to guide the campaign activities and to make the APC candidates victorious in the 2023 general election.

“We are delighted to have you today as our very important guests on this very important occasion of  special prayer and opening our campaign office in preparation for the successful journey of 2023 general election.

Let me start by saying that the prayer come to bare because we believe in putting God first in all our endeavors and we are committing our activities unto Almighty Allah to guide us and grant us success while opening of this campaign office ordinarily should not provoke unusual interest as it is part of the requirements of healthy democracy.

ADVERT:

Al-iman thrift wear, the best wear you can trust

It is important to note that the official timetable for campaign is not now but nigh, as a sign of preparation, I have designed the office to serve two major purposes and even more should the need arise in future. One, the office will offer you, members of my constituency, unquantified access to information concerning what we do. Two, it will serve as a feedback mechanism – an instrument with which you can assess our campaign performance and offer advice where necessary on the task you collectively intend to thrust upon me.

It is important to appreciate His Excellency, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for his wonderful job in building a Kwara that works for all. I also appreciate my beloved parents, Alhaji Abdulganiy Shagaya and Alhaja Muinat Bola Shagaya, and my brothers, Alhaji Sheriff Shagaya; Alhaji Hakeem Shagaya and Alhaji Kabir Shagaya, and the entire Muktar Shagaya Movement (MSM), for their support.

My good people of Ilorin West/Asa, I do not intend to bore you with a long speech. My work in the National Assembly besides legislative duties is to make sure that I attract development to our constituency in particular and Kwara State in general. I say this conscious of the fact that I am driven into politics not for personal glory or wealth, but for public good. I need not remind you of my heritage efforts in the development of our constituency. They are visible enough to bear me out.

I haven’t the slightest doubt that we will succeed in our determined effort to pull our constituency from the stagnations of past misrepresentation. No doubt, it is a huge responsibility while urging you to be part of the success story as the campaign starts in the next 4-5 days. We are ready to work for you and believe that with your support we will get the Ilorin West/Asa of our dream. Thank you so much for coming”, Shagaya remarked.

The special prayer and official commissioning of the campaign office was attended by Kwara APC Chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi; Kwara Deputy Governor ably represented by Honourable Sulaiman Abubakar Sai Kayi; Alhaji Sherif Shagaya; Representatives of Mallam Saliu Mustapha; Ambassador Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki; Alhaji Kabir Shagaya; Barrister Kunle Sulaiman; religious leaders; Government functionaries; APC Chieftains across Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituencies; women and youth groups amongst others.
