FG orders all flags in Nigeria, foreign missions be flown at half-mast

The Federal Government has ordered that all flags in the country and missions abroad be flown at half-mast on Sept. 11 and Sept. 12, to honour the death of Queen Elizabeth 11.

The Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, made this known in a statement on Friday in Abuja.

The statement furthered commiserated with the government and the people of UK and all the affected people of the Commonwealth and the global community.

“The Queen is dead, long live the king” he said.

Recalls that the death of Queen Elizabeth 11 was announced on Thursday (Sept. 8).

She was the Queen of the UK and the other Commonwealth realms from Feb. 6, 1952, until her death in 2022.

Her reign of 70 years and 214 days was the longest of any British monarch and the second-longest recorded of any monarch of a sovereign country.

KwaraPoly: Students commends management for new development

The Students also commends their efforts on new development in the campus such as the solar street light, the diagnostic center amongst others. According to one of the students, Saliu Ibrahim from quantity survey opines that the management should have the monitoring teams in which will helps to curb the abuse of the school properties. In the same vein, another student, Aliyu Muhammad from Urban and Regional Planning said the rector has really done a lot and even they are trying there best towards renewing the school.
