KwaraPoly NAYLL appoints new executives, Lekan Tajudeen emerges President


The New African Youth Leadership League , Kwara State Polytechnic Chapter, has appointed new executives for the 2022/2023 academic session where a student of Higher National Diploma, Mass Communication, Lekan Tajudeen emerges the president of the Association.

Among the appointed executives are; Shukurat Ibrahim as the Secretary General, AbdulRahman Hassan as the Publicity Secretary, Sherifat Oladipo as Welfare Directress, Sunday Adebanji as Treasurer and Shamsudeen Busari as Financial Secretary. 


Others includes; Ajoyo Balikis as Assistant Secretary General, Alabede Helen as Vice President Umar Kehinde as publicity manager and Azeez Ganiyat

In his address, the founder and Pioneer President of NAYLL, Comrade David Ogunleye, at the handling over of the association on Thursday at the Kwara State Polytechnic Theatre Hall, said the association is created with the aim of promoting and encouraging talents among the youth. 



He also commended the activities of the immediate past executives, saying that they broke a record with their new achievement which is the launching of “NAYLL Anthology”.

Comrade David therefore advised the newly appointed executives to work hand in hand so as to also break another record in the history of the association, adding that he believes they can do better than their predecessors. 


While reviewing the NAYLL Anthology” a lecturer at the Department of Mass Communication and a Public Affair Analyst, Olufadi Ayuba described art work as an herculean task. 


commending the writers, Olufadi also encouraged them to continue developing themselves in art work. 


Earlier in his opening remark, the immediate past President, Sen. Mustapha Lanre said NAYLL has been an abode for talent and leadership building, appreciating the essence of people's potential and creating an enabling environment for them to express themselves and their talents.


He furthered that the Organization has been crawling from the bottom list of organizations in the institution and it's reaching the limelight in the institution, adding that the contribution of NAYLL has gone without notice with references to the landmark achievement of their predecessor by the creation of the Mass Communication Anthem. 


“To consummate the stretch of this organization, we organized the First Pronunciation communication titled " PRONOUNCE IT" Which hosts different participants from different departments” he said. 


“The perception of the masses toward NAYLL is that it's an organization solely for writers but NAYLL is more than that and has more to offer and deliver to impact people in various aspects of life and for this reason, we organized a THREE-DAY LEADERSHIP WORKSHOP, in which speakers from within and outside the country address the essence of education, talents in leadership roles, building leadership skills and correcting the perception of the Youth towards Nation Building”

Mustapha added that as to rebrand NAYLL, they unveiled a new logo for Nayll which has been in use since the inception of his administration. 


In his appreciation, the newly appointed President, Sen. Lekan Tajudeen commended their predecessor, saying they have contributed immensely to maintain and sustain the growth of the association. 


“I must bring to your knowledge that NAYLL is not limited to Mass Communication students alone, but also to other departments which by the grace of God under our administration will be extended” he said. 


Tajudeen however urged the students for their corporation and support towards building the talents of youths in the institution and beyond, adding that only with their support they can achieve their goals. 


In his good will messages, the President of the National Association of Mass Communications Students (NAMCOS), Kwara State Polytechnic, Sen. Adeyeye Joshua congratulated the newly appointed executives, advised them to be steadfast in developing and working towards achieving better than their predecessors



He however prayed to God to support them throughout their tenure.
