Rector Commiserates with Governor, Oloffa over Oyawoye's Death


The Rector, Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, Engr. Abdul Jimoh Muhammed has described  the death of Prof. Jamiu Mosobalaje Olaloye Oyawoye as a massive loss to humanity.


The Rector in a condolence message  described the founding chairman of the Kwara State College of Technology ( Kwara State Polytechnic) as a God fearing scholar who lived his life with full commitment and dedication to the propagation of Islam.


Abdul disclosed that the first African Professor of Geology raised the bar and promoted the images of Offa community, Kwara State and Nigeria at large with outstanding scholarship and reliable mentoring of generations.


The condolence message which was issued and signed by the Polytechnic Public Relations Officer, Hajia Halimat Garba commiserated with the Executive Governor of the State, Mall. AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq, the Oloffa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi Esuwoye II

and the entire Offa community, noting that the late academic icon was an exceptional philanthropist and an excellent leader who always strive for national development. 


Abdul stressed that the entire Polytechnic community is extremely saddened to hear about the painful death of the elderstatesman and Baba Adini of KwarState.


According to the message, "the entire Polytechnic community deeply mourn the sad demise of Professor Jamiu Mosobalaje Oyawoye and with deepest sense of grief, we Commiserate with His Excellency, Mall. AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq, the Oloffa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi Esuwoye II and the entire Muslim Community in Kwara State.


The Rector prayed Allah to accept his return, forgive his shortcomings and give the offa people, family members and entire Kwarans the fortitude to bear  the irreparable loss.
