50th Anniversary: KwaraPoly kickstarts Activities To Mark celebrations With Special Inter-Faith Prayers

Activities to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin commenced on Tuesday, May 9th, 2023, with special inter-faith prayers at the institution's Central Mosque and Christian Fellowship Prayer Ground respectively.

The curtain-raiser provided an opportunity for the leadership of the two religious bodies to pray fervently for the institution and offer words of advice and encouragement to all members of the Polytechnic community.

The sessions were witnessed by members of the Polytechnic community including the management team, members of staff, students, alumni as well as well-wishers from far and near who have converged to celebrate a citadel of excellence that is foremost in academic, technological and entrepreneurial skills.

The clerics on separate occasions posited that the Polytechnic's 50th anniversary provided an avenue to highlight the unity among entities within the Polytechnic despite the challenges recorded in recent times.

Events to mark Kwara State Polytechnic at 50 will continue tomorrow Wednesday, 10th May 2023 with a Roadshow and Movie Premiere scheduled to hold at 10.30 a.m. at the Rear Admiral Muhammed Lawal (Retd) Auditorium, Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin.

KwaraPoly: Students commends management for new development

By: LUKMAN ROKEEB OLAIDE The Students of Kwara State Polytechnic has commend the effort of the rector, Dr Abdul Jimoh Muhammad over there aiming for prosperity and implore them not to relent on there administration. The Students also commends their efforts on new development in the campus such as the solar street light, the diagnostic center amongst others. According to one of the students, Saliu Ibrahim from quantity survey opines that the management should have the monitoring teams in which will helps to curb the abuse of the school properties. In the same vein, another student, Aliyu Muhammad from Urban and Regional Planning said the rector has really done a lot and even they are trying there best towards renewing the school. Jimoh Abdul Muhammed on Thursday commissioned the Department of Accountancy lecture room renovated by the Kwarapoly Accountancy Students Alumni Association (KASAA), 1996 set. The Rector in his address, commended National Association of Polytechnic Accountancy Students (NAPAS) 1996 alumni set for taking the leadership to renovate the lecture room for the students, saying it is the first alumni project since his inception in office. Abdul said despite not being the first set of graduate of the departments they are the first to take action in contributing to their alma mater, charged other sets to try and make impact in giving back to their institution.
