50th Anniversary: Kwara Poly Marks Celebration With Jubilee Roadshow


Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin have been hives of activity this week as staff, students, alumni and well-wishers of the institution converged to enjoy some lunchtime fun to mark the 50th anniversary of the great Citadel of Learning. 


Agric roundabout, Ilorin, played host to the roadshow themed; Raising The Bar for Greatness and Excellence" as participants took part in games, photo booths and music from the leading artiste, Toqx Lion and Earthquake. 


The show which was to commemorate 50 years since the establishment of the institution, took off from Agric to Kwara State Government House, to create awareness about the anniversary while officially inviting the general public to come to celebrate with them at the main event on Thursday, May 11, 2023. 


Addressing the Press during the show, the Students' Union Government President, Comr. Ishola Abdulsalam Gbolohan said: “It has been wonderful to share this momentous occasion with our staff and students across various departments and institutes. We had the opportunity to bring people together and celebrate 50 years of history and it was lovely to see so many people taking part in the roadshow, grabbing some props and posing for colourful pictures."


As contained in their invitation letter, the entire public has been invited to attend the 50th Anniversary Day Celebration slated for 10:00 am at the Rear Admiral Mohammed Lawal (Retrd) Auditorium.
