Kwara Poly Hosts BURSCON Conference After Eleven Year’s

The 47th Bursar Regular Meetings of Polytechnics and Colleges of Technologies (BURSCON) were recently held at Kwara State Polytechnic in Ilorin, marking the second time in eleven years that the institution hosted the event.

The meeting which was termed BURSCON 2023 saw the gathering of bursars of various schools, NBTE representatives and others at the occasion.

The Kwara State Polytechnic rector, Engr. Dr Abdul Jimoh Muhammed, in his opening remarks, expressed his gratitude for the presence of the representative of the Kwara State Government, the Chairman of the Governing Council, and the governing body of BURSCON, along with other members of the association.

He acknowledged BURSCON as a professional body responsible for maintaining financial records and managing day-to-day cash flow in higher education institutions.

Dr Abdul highlighted the innovative developments his administration has introduced to the institution, urging members to explore and appreciate the wonders of Kwara State during their stay.

The President of BURSCON, Dr Salisu L. Ladan, thanked the management for their warm reception, noting that their meeting is to brainstorm and fashion out the best way to make accountability in our institutions as easy as possible.
