Saadudeen AbdulRasheed Abiodun: A silent Achiever

The Management of Kwara State Polytechnic has bestowed on the Department of Mass Communication a silent achiever, a skilled striker and a trained pilot to skillfully land the plane of the department to where it rightly belong.

Saadudeen who is the present Head of Department, Mass Communication department is the youngest HOD ever in the history of the department who has been using his youthful skills and strength to direct the activities of the department.

He is a visionary leader who is committed to ensuring that the department be the foremost provider of technological and entrepreneurial skills , and on the mission to teach, impact, and Foster the highest level of intellectual development and provide services to humanity through the exploration of available scientific and research methods.The young HOD has been able to achieve the following so far;

Retraining of Staff: The first thing the foresighted leader did after the accreditation of the department Higher National Diploma (HND), the HOD embarked on training their staff which was tagged “training the trainers”.

This was done in order to prepare and expose the lecturers to what is expected of them towards their students.

Also was getting approval from the State Government to start transmitting at the school radio station (KwaraPoly 88.5FM) which has been the dream of the Department.

Furthermore, Saadudeen was the brain behind the establishment of Mass Communication Department Practical Studio, Public Relation and Advertising Units (PRAD) and a Conference hall for the students.

More so, he engaged the students on the department of an advertising campaign to promote the Rector of the Polytechnic, Engr. (Dr. ) Jimoh Abdul Muhammad and also to promote the image of the Polytechnic which was achieved at the end of the campaign.

Indeed, Saadudeen AbdulRasheed is a silent achiever who is still on a non-stop mission to achieve much better than what he has.

Verily, the department of mass communications is blessed to have Mr. Saadudeen AbdulRasheed Abiodun as the Head of Department.
