Police Extortion: Achiever Calls For Evidence


....Says ID Card will be available for all

In a bid to curb Police extortion and embarrassment on students, The Student Union president, Federal University Lokoja , Comerade Agada I. Achiever  has called on victims to provide evidence to seek justice.

 Achiever Made the call Sunday 24th June , while fielding question from Students on a WhatsApp platform .

He requested for 5 student victims who are bold and not into shady means of making money  to provide evidence of embarrassment and extortion as the evidence will be taken to the commissioner of police . 

"I need at least five person's that are ready to present evidence of these embarrassment and extortion, extortion mainly. At least getting evidence of extortion isn't that difficult."

Achiever stated that a letter of Petition is being prepared already and once those police involved are identified , they will be brought to book .

"So I am ready, there is a letter of petition that has been prepared for such an act already. There would be petitioned immediately I get the names of those police they would be petitioned to DSS. And DSS that is the department of state security service will take up the matter may charge that particular police man to court. At least that would serve as a deterrent to other police officers " he said 


According to him , several reports of police raid on Students of FUL at different lodge has gotten to him adding that the police ends up requesting for money to Grant them bail . 

He noted that Student Union Government has a high possibility of meeting with the  state commissioner of police this week reiterating that a letter has been sent out to his office already for a meeting to address the issue.


"I have gotten reports of harassment and embarrassment for quite some time now and we are seeing possibilities of going to see the commissioner of police this week that we just entered. We've written a letter last week to that effect and we are expecting response very soon and all of these things would be addressed." He said

Speaking on student Identity card , achiever assured Students of his commitment to see that identity card is available  before the end of the semester  averring that Identity card are being produced already .

"I believe before this semester will end all FUL students I would make sure of that. All FUL students would get access to their ID card to bring a total stop to this one embarrassment"
