KwaraPoly Election: Dept. Of Mass Comm breaks record, wins NAKSS President, SUG Speaker, Institute Presidential seat

The Department Of Mass Communication, Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin on Saturday, breaks another record by winning the National Association of Kwara State Students (NAKSS) Presidential seat, Students Union Government (SUG) Speakership position and the Institute Presidential Seat. 


Gbadeyan Oluwatimileyin Olalekan, Aishat Arinola Adeyemi and Ogundele Laja Gbenga students of the department, emerges the NAKSS President-Elect, SUG Speaker-Elect and President-Elect of Institute of Information and Communication Technology (IICT) respectively today during the Polytechnic E-Voting election. 


Prime News recalls that since the establishment of the department thirteen (13) years ago, such key positions have not been zoned to the department. 


However, since the accreditation of the department’s Higher National Diploma program, the department are now entitled to every posts as every other department in the institution.


Other positions secured by the department at the Institute level are; Welfare Director, Public Relation Officer, Assistant General Secretary and Assistant Sport Director.
