Kwarapoly Felicitates with the Emir of Ilorin @ 83

The Rector, Kwara State Polytechnic,Ilorin, Engr. Abdul Jimoh Muhammed on behalf of the entire Polytechnic community has felicitated with the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Zulkarnain Gambari CFR, who is also the Chairman, Kwara State Council of Chiefs, on his eventful 83rd birthday.

The Rector, in a congratulatory message signed by the institution's Public Relations Officer, Hajia Halimat Garba, joined thousands of the illustrious subjects and millions of fascinating admirers of the foremost Monarch, across the world, to rejoice with him for attaining the landmark age, which was marked by remarkable accomplishments and monumental services to humanity and most especially to the good people of Ilorin Emirate.

According to the message, the Polytechnic Community is extremely happy that the retired jurist has brought his vast knowledge, wide exposure,varied experiences and infectious contact to bear in the discharge of his numerous responsibilities to his subjects, government and the people of Kwara State and Nigeria at large.

According to the Rector, “your personal life and public service career, particularly your reign, which has been marked by peace, progress and development are insipirational to all and sundry”.

While appreciating the Emir’s stimulating leadership and fatherly support over the years, we prayed Allah to prolong his life, grant him more sound health and preserve his alluring wisdom and afford him every other thing he would need to continue to lead the good people of Ilorin Emirate and Kwarans at large to greater and more enviable heights of all-round development.

KwaraPoly: Students commends management for new development

By: LUKMAN ROKEEB OLAIDE The Students of Kwara State Polytechnic has commend the effort of the rector, Dr Abdul Jimoh Muhammad over there aiming for prosperity and implore them not to relent on there administration. The Students also commends their efforts on new development in the campus such as the solar street light, the diagnostic center amongst others. According to one of the students, Saliu Ibrahim from quantity survey opines that the management should have the monitoring teams in which will helps to curb the abuse of the school properties. In the same vein, another student, Aliyu Muhammad from Urban and Regional Planning said the rector has really done a lot and even they are trying there best towards renewing the school. The students therefore urge the rector and school management to extend the solar street light to Yankari and other places in the institution. Jimoh Abdul Muhammed on Thursday commissioned the Department of Accountancy lecture room renovated by the Kwarapoly Accountancy Students Alumni Association (KASAA), 1996 set. The Rector in his address, commended National Association of Polytechnic Accountancy Students (NAPAS) 1996 alumni set for taking the leadership to renovate the lecture room for the students, saying it is the first alumni project since his inception in office. Engr. Abdul said despite not being the first set of graduate of the departments they are the first to take action in contributing to their alma mater, charged other sets to try and make impact in giving back to their institution.
