Kwara poly: SUG organizes lecture, sensitizes students on significance of Ramadan

The student union government, Kwara state polytechnic, Ilorin organizes Ramadan lecture on the 28th day of Ramadan to sensitize students on the significance of Ramadan in Islam and also what benefit is attached to following the will of Allah in this holy month. 


The program which was organized by the Gigabyte led team was held at the school's conference hall and had in attendance the Director, Directorate of Students Services, Dr. Saheed Ajadi Bolakale as the host and other dignitaries in the polytechnic that graced the occasion with their presence.


The guest lecturer, Ustaz Kawu Isale-Koto delivered a fantastic lecture that sinks in the ears and mind and also reminded the soul of all students represent about the purpose of fasting and the significance of the ordained month in the religion, Islam.


"Fasting is mandatory and is the will of Allah for all Muslims to observe fasting throughout this month and to watch what they say, where they go and all their activities throughout the holy month. Many 'beer houses' have started cleaning up their locked business places because they believe Ramadan is gone and people will come back to their usual sinful way and it does not please Allah" he said.


However, Kawu advised all students of Kwara state polytechnic to not go back to these sinful act as it can destroy all the good deeds of any man who has duly, righteously and fearfully observed fasting in the month of Ramadan.
