The statement reads “For more clarification and emphasis, the projects commissioned during the 29th Convocation ceremony were:1) The Zango-Poly Power Project (i.e 33kv harmony feeder injection sub-station)This project was undertaken by the Management following the approval granted by the Governor to guarantee improved power supply to the Polytechnic, Apata-Yakuba, Oyun, Oke-Oyi and Oke-Ose Communities in Moro and Ilorin East Local Government Areas.Other State and Federal Government Agencies that are also benefitting from the Institution’s largesse are the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH), Kwara State Television Authority, Radio Kwara, Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) and Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON) amongst others.”

The project also ensured the safety of all road users within the institution. The total length of completed drainages constructed within the campus is equivalent to 2.533km, as against the reporter’s claim that it was from the roundabout to the front of administration block.” She added.

“The renovated Institute of Technology Complex (IOT), which has been in existence since 1990, was also commissioned. It is important to state here that the building had earlier been abandoned by past administrations in the institution due to vibration and fear of collapse. This was renovated after proffering a solution of “retrofitting” as suggested by structural engineers who looked deep into the cause of the vibration.  With this solution, the institution now has additional eight big lecture halls, eight laboratories and forty-seven staff.” It stated.
