THE PLACE OF A MOTHER

By: Olufadi Balarabe Ayuba.

Let her know the day she was born nakedly beautiful with tears of joy rolling down her stunningly soft cheeks.

Let her know the day she had enough words to say but could only speak through the inexhaustible care of her beloved mother.

Let her know those days she could not by herself take some walks down the road, but could comfortably tour the entire city tied on her mother's back.

Let her know those days when she had to cry all night before she could answer nature's call, except lullabies were sung to ease her trips.

Let her know the days she couldn't bathe herself, compelling her mother to wake up early, warm the water, and ignore her refusal to take a bath every morning!

Let her know the day she couldn't do makeovers to beautify herself, as her mother took center stage to apply "Dusting Powder" to introduce the beauty of her Darling Princess to the world.

Let her know the days when all others had forsaken, except her mother who could perfectly read her eyes, and her heartbeats and was bold enough to whittle away her worries.

Let her know about the festive seasons when she could only dream of what to wear, only for her mother to weather the storms to make her steal all shows with some beautiful outfits she provided.

Let her know that regardless of what civilization may have afforded her today, her mother had toiled and labored in excess to prepare her for this stage.

The place of a mother is sacred. Her sacrifices are invaluable. And in life, they are genuinely irreplaceable.

Years With Engr. Dr. Abdul Jimoh Muhammad In Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin.

By: Olufadi Balarabe Ayuba I have come across many leaders in academic institutions, each with their unique approach to leadership and innovation. But none has struck me more than the “Project Rector” of Kwara State Polytechnic, Engr. Dr. Abdul Jimoh Muhammad. His leadership is one that not only puzzles but also inspires. Since assuming the role of Rector in 2019, his transformative efforts at Kwara State Polytechnic have become a model of how to balance infrastructure development with academic excellence, innovation, and inclusivity. Engr. Dr. Muhammad is not just a leader in title; he is a leader by example.
