Arinde's Appointment Well Deserved -- Rector

The Rector, Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, Engr. Dr. Abdul Jimoh Muhammed has described the appointment of Dr. Mary Arinde as Commissioner, Ministry of Tertiary Education as well deserved one.

A statement issued and signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Polytechnic, Mrs. Halimat Garba, says the track records of Dr. Arinde qualifies her for the post.

According to the statement, the Rector, who congratulated the commissioner on behalf of the management, staff and students of the institution, noted that Dr. Arinde's rich experiences would no doubt, bring to bear, modern administrative techniques, creativity and innovations in the Ministry of Tertiary Education.

He, however, lauded the State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq, for the appointment, stressing that the ministry would continue to wax stronger with the newly appointed commissioner.

The Rector, therefore, prayed God to grant the commissioner stable health, wisdom, knowledge and understanding to discharge her duties effectively.

KwaraPoly: Students commends management for new development

By: LUKMAN ROKEEB OLAIDE The Students of Kwara State Polytechnic has commend the effort of the rector, Dr Abdul Jimoh Muhammad over there aiming for prosperity and implore them not to relent on there administration. The Students also commends their efforts on new development in the campus such as the solar street light, the diagnostic center amongst others. According to one of the students, Saliu Ibrahim from quantity survey opines that the management should have the monitoring teams in which will helps to curb the abuse of the school properties. In the same vein, another student, Aliyu Muhammad from Urban and Regional Planning said the rector has really done a lot and even they are trying there best towards renewing the school.
