The Kwara State Polytechnic Rector, Engr. Dr. Abdul Jimoh Muhammed has bagged an excellence award during the Rotary Presidential Dinner and Awards night recently held at Crystal House, Ilorin.
In his remark, the Rector who ably represented by the head of the Alumni Unit of the polytechnic. Mr. Opaleke E.A expressed his gratitude for the great award.
Opaleke revealed how the Rector was excited to be a recipient of the award, noting that he could not receive the award himself to express his heartfelt satisfaction due to unavoided circumstances that occurred.
"I am here with a Lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication Mr. Olufadi B. A and a few students of the institution. The commitment of the Rector to human capital and community development has set the institution on the right path and outmatched its contemporary across the length and breadth of the country, resulting in his nickname as a Project Rector," Opaleke said.
In his speech, the President, Rotarian Victor Adegboye confirmed the Rector’s passionate devotion to a standard educational system in Kwara State, affirming that the Club recognized his leadership, especially during trying times in the state.
While presenting the award. Hon. (Engr) Tunde Fadipe, the immediate past Chairman of Isin Local Government congratulated the Rector on the award he mentioned was "well-deserved", acknowledging his roles during his stay at the Federal Polytechnic Offa as the Deputy Rector (Academic).
