Arinde Commends Kwara-Poly For Productive Service Delivery


The Kwara State Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Dr. Mary Ronke Arinde has commended the Kwara State Polytechnic for its productive service delivery. 


The Commissioner gave the commendation during her familiarization visit to the Polytechnic today.


Dr. Arinde emphasized that the citadel of learning has maintained its standard as it has produced job creators rather than job seekers, through its entrepreneurial initiatives for students.


Having toured round the institution's facilities, the Commissioner disclosed that government would tackle its encroachment matters seriously, in order to protect lives and properties around the Polytechnic and beef up security as well.


She assured that the administration of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq would offer its support and commitment at ensuring effective service delivery in tertiary institutions across the state.


Arinde explained further that the state government is proud of the entrepreneurial initiatives for students, which she said has enhanced the productive output of the Polytechnic. 


In his remarks, the Rector of the Institution, Engr. Dr. Abdul Jimoh Muhammed appreciated the Commissioner and her team for touring round the Polytechnic facilities, in order to be abreast of the challenges facing the institution established about five decades ago.


The Rector assured that the management of the Polytechnic is readily interested in keying into  the policy thrust of the AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led administration.

KwaraPoly: Students commends management for new development

​ By: LUKMAN ROKEEB OLAIDE The Students of Kwara State Polytechnic has commend the effort of the rector, Dr Abdul Jimoh Muhammad over there aiming for prosperity and implore them not to relent on there administration. The Students also commends their efforts on new development in the campus such as the solar street light, the diagnostic center amongst others.  According to one of the students, Saliu Ibrahim from quantity survey opines that the management should have the monitoring teams in which will helps to curb the abuse of the school properties.  In the same vein, another student, Aliyu Muhammad from Urban and Regional Planning said the rector has really done a lot and even they are trying there best towards renewing the school. Jimoh Abdul Muhammed on Thursday commissioned the Department of Accountancy lecture room renovated by the Kwarapoly Accountancy Students Alumni Association (KASAA), 1996 set.  The Rector in his address, commended National Association of Polytechnic Accountancy Students (NAPAS) 1996 alumni set for taking the leadership to renovate the lecture room for the students, saying it is the first alumni project since his inception in office.  Engr.
