KwaraPoly Worldwide Alumni Association sets for maiden election; calls for member participation, support.

The Kwara State Polytechnic Worldwide Alumni Association in a bid to collectively advance the development trajectory of the institution and its teeming graduates has announced that plans for the maiden election into the Association’s executive positions is in top gear.

In a statement jointly signed by the Protem President and the Protem Publicity Secretary 1 of the Association, Engr. Abu Salami and Abdulrahman Mohammed, says; “having served as protem executives of the Association in the last two years, we have successfully set the pace for smooth transitioning into a democratically elected leadership of the Alumni Association in order to enhance inclusion and participatory engagement. 

They noted that “KwaraPoly has lasted over five decades and there has been calls for a more inclusive Alumni capable of connecting the older generation of graduates with the younger ones, in a bid to create opportunities for members of the Polytechnic alumni and to also collectively give back significantly to our great citadel of learning. We therefore encourage all graduates of the Polytechnic to participate in the process. 

“To participate in the coming election, for which guidelines would be published in earnest on the Polytechnic’s website www.Kwarapolyalumni.org, we encourage our members to register on the website, for us to have their data synchronized, especially for those who graduated at the pre-digital era. The registration would also enable them access to networking resource and qualification to vote for candidates of choice and be voted for in the coming election”, the statement said. 

The protem leadership of the Association listed reasons to join Kwara state Polytechnic Worldwide Alumni Association to include; connection with fellow alumni from diverse backgrounds and fields, exploring job and career opportunities and resources, and staying updated about alumni events, reunions, and initiatives.

It added that the Association also avails members exclusive privileges and opportunities to give back by mentoring current students and supporting the growth of the Polytechnic and expansion of professional network.
